FALL ATHLETIC MEETING

The Fall Athletic Meeting for parents, guardians, and athletes will be held on Tuesday, September 18th at 6:00 in the South Kam gym.

This is a presentation from South Kamloops Secondary in conjunction with School District #73.

This meeting has previously been presented and would be beneficial for all Grade 8's and new students to South Kamloops.

If your son/daughter is playing a Fall Sport, please make sure that someone is there. 
Athletic information, policies, etc. will be discussed.

SPRING ATHLETICS

Congratulations to all of the Spring Teams on a very successful season.

Grade 8 Boys Rugby - playing in the West Zone Championships on Wednesday.
Junior Boys rugby won the West Zone Championship and lost a close one in the Okanagan playoffs.
Senior Girls Rugby had a lot of girls playing and looking forward to next season.

Junior Girls soccer lost in the OKanagan Championship in overtime 2-1.

Senior Girls Soccer will be playing in the Provincial Championship this weekend at Mac Island.
The Girls won the West Zone and Okanagan Championships.

In its inaugural season, South Kamloops Ultimate team won the West Zone and Okanagan Championships.  They also placed 1`5th at the first ever BC high school Provincials

The South Kamloops Tennis team finished 6th at the Provincial Tournament.  They were the first in all of the public schools with a tournament dominated by private schools.
Congratulations to Jenny Klenner and Justin Friesen on winning the mixed doubles Provincial Title.

Track and Field will be well represented at th e Provincial Championships this weekend as well.
Mountain Biking was represented by Sophie Ogilvie this Spring season.

Spring Season

Well....hopefully the snow is off the fields soon and we are able to get into the swing of the Spring Season.
Here is some information around the Spring Sports.

PROVINCIAL CHAMPS

PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONS

 The Senior Boys captured South Kamloops and Kamloops' first ever boys basketball Provincial Championship.   It was also the second time in history that two teams from the same school captured Provincial Championships in the same sport.

Senior Boys Basketball

Congratulations to the Senior Boys Basketball Team.  The team will be playing in the AAA Provincial Championship game tomorrow at 6:00pm at the Langley Event Centre.  The game will also be broadcast in the school gym at that time.  The school doors will open at 5:45.

SENIOR GIRLS PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONS

Congratulations to the Senior Girls on winning the AA PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.
MADDY GOBEIL was named the Tournament MVP.
Lauren Walkley was named to the First All-Star team.
Olivia Morgan-Cherchas was named to the Second All-Star team.
